Journal of Sociology in the Global South (JSGS) is an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing sociological knowledge rooted in the diverse social realities of the Global South. The journal promotes theoretically grounded and empirically rich studies that highlight perspectives and transformations from historically underrepresented regions.

JSGS welcomes critical and context-sensitive approaches, including decolonial and Southern perspectives, addressing issues such as inequality, development, digital society, migration, gender, environment, and cultural dynamics. Special attention is given to island and maritime societies as strategic contexts within the Global South.

All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic integrity and high scholarly standards, fostering inclusive and globally representative sociological discourse.
