Peer Review Process

Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan dan Pelatihan (JIPP) implements a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published articles. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to maintain objectivity, fairness, and impartiality in the evaluation.

All submitted manuscripts are assessed based on their scholarly merit, including originality, theoretical and practical contribution, methodological rigor, clarity of analysis, and relevance to the fields of education, training, and human resource development.

Review Stages

Initial Submission and Editorial Screening

Upon submission, the manuscript is first evaluated by the editorial team to ensure its alignment with the journal’s focus and scope, as well as compliance with submission guidelines and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage without external review.

Plagiarism Check

All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality. Submissions with a high level of similarity or evidence of academic misconduct will be rejected immediately.

Assignment to Section Editor

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to a Section Editor or Handling Editor with relevant expertise in education, training, or human resource development.

Double-Blind Peer Review

The manuscript is sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, theoretical framework, methodology, clarity, practical relevance, and contribution to advancing knowledge and practice in education and training.

Reviewers’ Recommendations

Reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:

  • Accept without revision
  • Minor revisions required
  • Major revisions required
  • Reject

Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers’ reports, the Editor makes a decision. In cases of conflicting recommendations, an additional reviewer may be consulted to ensure a fair evaluation.

Revision Process

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version along with a detailed response to reviewers.

Final Decision

The revised manuscript is evaluated by the Editor (and, if necessary, returned to reviewers) before a final decision is made.

Copyediting and Proofreading

Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting to improve clarity, grammar, and formatting, followed by proofreading to ensure accuracy prior to publication.

Publication

The final version of the manuscript is published online in the journal issue and made accessible to the global academic community.
