Tools

To ensure high-quality manuscript preparation and compliance with international academic standards, Journal of Economics and Business in the Global South (JEBGS) recommends the use of the following tools:

  • Reference Management Tools: Authors are encouraged to use tools such as Mendeley or EndNote to manage citations and references efficiently in accordance with APA Style 7th Edition, particularly for economics and business research.
  • Grammar and Writing Assistance: To improve clarity, coherence, and academic writing quality, authors may use tools such as Grammarly, especially for manuscripts written in English and intended for an international readership.
  • Plagiarism Detection Tools: Authors are strongly advised to ensure the originality of their manuscripts by using plagiarism detection tools such as Turnitin or other reliable similarity checkers prior to submission.
  • Data Analysis and Visualization Tools (Optional): For empirical economics and business research, authors may utilize software such as statistical packages, econometric tools, or data visualization platforms (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R, or Python-based tools) to enhance analytical rigor, transparency, and reproducibility.

The use of these tools is highly recommended to support authors in meeting the journal’s quality standards, ensuring methodological rigor, and facilitating a smooth peer-review and publication process.
